Activities
Situated on 25 acres in Emigration Canyon, Camp
Kostopulos provides a host of outdoor adventures and activities
for individuals with disabilities.
Camp Kostopulos is divided into three main
areas where activities can be experienced.
The lodge area includes the main
lodge, large field, picnic pavilions, fishing pond, accessible
playgournd, sports court, and the main parking
areas. Activities are held in the
upper level of the lodge in an airy, open space, perfect for group
meetings and presentations. Access to a TV/VCR/DVD may be provided.
The lower floor of the lodge is the dining / activity area. Adjacent
to the lodge is a patio area, useful for BBQs and outdoor dining.
The middle section of camp is where
the heated swimming pool and modern bath house are located as well
the lower corral for horseback riding and instruction.
The upper section of camp is a great
area with fantastic views. This section has the upper horse corral,
high challenge ropes course with climbing wall, low ropes course,
wheelchair accessible rope course, 14-person new and modern cabin,
camp sites,
and round
riding
ring. In addition, well-groomed hiking trails can be enjoyed from
this location.
