Camp Counselors
Dates of employment: May – August
Hours of work: Counselors work from Sunday night meeting at 8:00 to Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Counselors live on site during this time in staff cabins. Optional weekend housing. Possible weekend shifts available, not required.
Supervisors: Program Coordinators and Group Leader
Qualifications: Prefer experience with disabled or in camp setting. Ability to see, hear and respond to emergency situations. Ability to physically assist campers by lifting, escorting and physically guiding them. Must be 18 years old. Complete required camp training course.
Certifications: First Aid/CPR (will train), Food Handler's (will train), Clean Criminal Background Check, Clean Driving Record (driver's only)
Specific Responsibilities: Assigned to one of four camper groups. Work with counselor team to provide for the safety of campers. Lead campers in camp activities and provide fun and learning. Respond to emergency situations such as illness, injury or fire. Take direction from head counselor or other supervisor. Fill out required paperwork for each camper including goals and evaluations. Assist campers with personal care needs such as toilet use and grooming. Lift, transport and support campers with limited physical abilities. Successfully complete staff training and testing. Complete camp cleanup each week. Assist with overnight monitoring in camper cabins. Maintain or improve camper's quality of life. Interact with parents during check in and check out of campers. Inventory campers belongings upon arrival. Establish camp rules and policies with campers. Follow established camp procedures and training expectations. Participate in all activities on and off camp site. Attend all summer camp staff meetings and provide input. Represent Camp during public activities. Communicate with counselor group, camp nurse, and other staff as needed. Other assigned duties or tasks as assigned by supervisors

Aquatics Supervisor
Dates of employment: May – August
Hours of Work: Monday to Thurday, afternoon hours Possible private rental weekend shifts available on Saturday
Rate of Pay: Hourly dependent on experience or salary if living on site
Supervisors: Executive Director, Program Coordinators
Qualifications: Must be 21 years old; current Water Safety Instructor cert; Current Lifeguard cert; First Aid/CPR required (will train); also looking for person willing to acquire Certified Pool Operators rating; ability to see, hear, and respond to emergency situations; ability to physically assist campers with mobility impairment; one year previous experience preferred.
Responsibilities: Lead and supervise all aquatic activities at camp facility, including pool, fishing pond, and off-camp trips; supervise assistant lifeguards; perform daily and weekly maintenance tasks on pool; accurately record chemical levels and other required logbook information; inventory and maintain equipment used in pool area; initiate a water safety program in accordance with American Camping Association standards and Red Cross requirements; follow established policies and procedures for pool area; train camp staff to assist in emergency situations; test and classify camp swimmers, and assign staff to tend to swimmers needing assistance; perform duties of lifeguard during needed periods; create new ideas that will improve the aquatics programming at Camp/implement and sustain a private and group lesson program during weekday mornings; guard during open swim time; prevent incidents from occurring by maintaining proper control over pool facility; recognize victims in distress; recognize activities which may put swimmers at risk; recognize physical hazards which could injure swimmers; perform evaluation of program at end of season and ideas for next season.

Summer Camp Health Manager

Hours of work: Camps run Monday 7:30-Friday 2:00 Full time position (8:00-4:00 or 12:00-8:00) Hours vary with part-time nursing scheduling Rate of Pay: Negotiable and competitive, salaried if living on site
Supervisors: Executive Director, Program Coordinators
Qualifications: Licensed RN in State of Utah Flexible schedule Hospital and medication experience preferred Knowledge of summer camp health practices a plus Previous occupational and health and safety experience a plus

Specific Responsibilities: Manage camp's overall health and safety program, including evaluation and assessment of these programs; administer medications to campers and staff; maintain cleanliness of nursing area, and ensure cleanliness of camper areas; manage and assist with camper check-in and check-out; maintain inventory of nurse's station equipment, and safety equipment (first aid kits, other supplies) at facility; conduct periodic safety and health inspections; assist with staff training during pre-camp be an active leader and role model for the younger camp staff

Summer Camp Cook
Dates of employment: May – August
Hours of work: Camps run Monday 7:30-Friday 2:00 Full-time work, schedule varies with assistant cook assignments
Rate of Pay: Negotiable and competitive, salaried if living on site
Supervisors: Executive Director, Program Coordinators
Qualifications: Experience cooking for groups of up to 80 people. Experience managing small staff of assistant cooks. Ability to modify meals for special dietary needs. Experience with ordering and meal planning. Flexible schedule.

Specific Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of food service for residential camp; supervise up to three assistant cooks; plan meals monday to friday for up to 80 people per meal; work with administrative staff on travel camp menu planning; review meal plans with certified nutritionist; ensure cleanliness of food preparation and delivery areasp; work with Food Inspector to ensure legal compliance; solicit food donations; assist administrative staff in food budget planning

Maintenance Helper
Dates of employment: This position is available all year-round. In the summer (May-August) we have 2 full time openings.
Rate of Pay: 8.00 per hour
Hours of Work:
Monday – Thursday 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM Friday – 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The days and times worked will vary depending on the staffing needs.
Supervisors: Operations Manager
Qualifications:
Experience and skill in handyman tasks including: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and basic vehicle mechanics; experience working with power tools and knowledge of their safe operation; able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 100 pounds); excellent work habits including: punctuality, efficient use of time, prioritizing tasks; must have a clean criminal background and clean driving record. Prefer experience with people with disabilities in a community or therapeutic setting.
Specific Responsibilities:
Knowledge of and compliance with safety codes and standards for grounds and facilities; keep agency equipment secure and in good working condition; identify and correct potential hazards on site; landscape upkeep including: watering, mowing, and weeding; clean buildings including: vacuuming, sweeping, toilets, emptying garbage; keep vehicles clean and maintained.
