K-Kid Adventures, After-School Program offers recreation and experiential learning for children ages 7-12 with special needs. The goal for the K-Kids Program is to provide activities to develop functional life skills, increase leisure awareness, and reduce barriers to recreation participation. The program is offered two times a year for a 13 week session (September to December or January to April). Activities are held once a week on the short school day, Friday. The program includes outings in the community as well as activities at the camp facilities. Activities may include swimming, bowling, museum tours, musical concerts, horseback riding, arts and crafts, initiative games, ropes course activities, and more. Transportation is provided to and from the school, if three kids sign up from the same school. Other arrangements can be made if less than three kids attend.
