Residential Camp

Come join Camp K in making unforgettable memories! Our goal is to provide a summer camp that promotes a healthy lifestyle for individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities, utilizing education and therapeutic recreation.During the week, campers will enjoy activities that include riding horses, swimming in a heated pool, fishing in a trout pondlow/high ropes courseclimbing wall, arts and crafts, nature, sports, games, and much more. Our five-day residential camps runs from Monday-Friday.

Campers stay in bunk-style cabins, and have 24-hour supervision by our trained staff members.  At week’s end, campers will be recognized during an award ceremony, and receive a group photo and camp T-shirt.

Friendships are made and rekindled, and new experiences and adventures happen each week. Each camp week is designed to accommodate a different age and ability level of camper.  Supervision ratio is one staff member for every four campers. If your camper needs a higher level of supervision, prior approval must be given, and every effort will be made to accommodate him/her.  If you have any questions, please contact our office at 801-582-0700 x101, or

Horse Camp

Camp Kostopulos is holding five horse camps this summer! The horse camps are structured like the residential camps, with five-day, four-night residential camps beginning Monday morning, and ending Friday. Campers stay in bunk-style cabins with restrooms, and have 24-hour supervision by our trained staff. Campers will have the opportunity to spend time in the Equestrian Center where they will learn how to groom and care for the horses, and spend time feeding and riding them. Weight limit to ride horses at camp is set as 225 lbs. This is to ensure safety for our campers as well as all of our horses .

Partner Camps – Residential

We have partnered with other organizations for Residential Camps for more than 20 years.  These partners are the Children’s Tumor Foundation, the National Kidney Foundation of Utah and Idaho, and the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  Over they years, we have had several campers from these programs who have returned to Camp K as counselors as adults.  They are able to share their experiences with the new campers, and serve as valuable role models.

  • Children's Tumor Foundation

2020 marks the 24th year that Camp K has partnered with Children’s Tumor Foundation.  This camp is reserved for children and teens with Neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow along various types of nerves.  Campers come from all over the United States, Canada, and the world.  During these weeks, they are able to interact with others who have the same condition, and learn more about themselves and others while enjoying everything that Camp K has to offer.

All registrations for these weeks of camp are handled by the Children’s Tumor Foundation.  More information will be available soon.

The following videos were made at Camp K:

  • National Kidney Foundation of Utah and Idaho

For more than 20 years, Camp K has partnered with the National Kidney Foundation of Utah and Idaho.  Children and teens who have undergone heart, liver, lung, or kidney transplants meet at Camp K for a week of fun.  This camp allows these kids to just be kids – while they are at Camp K, they are no longer isolated by their medical challenges.

All campers for this week must be approved by the Kidney Foundation.  More information will be available soon.

  • Muscular Dystrophy Association

We are excited to partner with the Muscular Dystrophy Association.  This camp allows kids and teens with Muscular Dystrophy to enjoy all that Camp K has to offer.

More information will be available soon.
