Travel Trip Camp

Spend the week enjoying sights and sounds of outdoor recreation! Campers will travel to locations specified in registration and return to Camp Kostopulos to spend the night in the comfort of our own cabins. Interested campers will be contacted by Camp K program staff after receiving trip camp registration. First-time trip campers must be interviewed and approved by Camp K program staff for Travel Trips. Campers must have attended Camp K Residential camp at least one time prior to attending Trip Camp, unless otherwise authorized. Minimum age to attend trip camp is 14 years old. Travel Trips are subject to change. Scheduled activities are contingent upon weather, emergencies, etc. Cancelled Activities will not be rescheduled.

All About Animals
Week 1: June 5th-9th
Come along on our outdoor excursion as we experience the wonderful world of animals in land, air, and sea; visit the Hogle Zoo, Tracey Aviary, and Living Planet Aquarium. Learn about historic animals at the George Eccles Dinosaur Park! Then, cheer on the Salt Lake Bees with all your friends!

Nature of Utah
Week 2: June 12th-16th
Come with us on a marvelous journey as we tour the different natural water fall attractions of Utah Valley. Journey back in time as we explore the Museum of Ancient Life roaming among the dinosaurs and exploring the different exhibits. Then we will travel west to see where the buffalo roam at Antelope Island.

Travel With Us!
Week 3: June 19th-23rd

Explore all the different and amazing forms of transportation throughout Utah! Join us as we ride the Heber Valley Railroad! Take a relaxing canoe ride down the Provo River. Plus, see historic planes and aircrafts at Hill Aerospace Museum in Ogden!

Explore Utah’s State Parks
Week 4: June 26th-30th
Join our expedition to the beautiful state parks of Utah! We will see the buffalo at Antelope Island, visit Jordanelle State Park, visit the Great Salt Lake State Park, and explore the mountains at Wasatch Mountain State Park! Enjoy a picnic while taking in the summer scenery at East Canyon State Park.

History and Museums!
Week 5: July 3rd-7th
Learn all about the history of the United States and Utah for this 4th of July weeklong celebration! Explore the gardens and learn all about history at Thanksgiving Point and learn about dinosaurs at the Museum of Paleontology! See military planes at the Hill Aerospace Museum and take an exciting ride on the Heber Valley Railroad!

Water and More!
Week 6: July 10th-14th
Join our adventure outing around Utah as we canoe the majestic Provo River, visit the Aquarium, go to Boondocks, and spend a day of fun at Rockport Reservoir State Park while hiking and enjoying a picnic.

Historic Crusade
Week 7: July 17th-21st
Join our crusade through the Salt Lake Valley as we discover and are educated about Salt Lake’s heritage as Pioneer Day approaches. We’ll uncover pioneer history at This is the Place Heritage Park, tour Temple Square, and learn about our culture as we tour the Utah State Capitol.

Adventure Unlimited
Week 8: July 24th- 28th
Are you up for an awesome Camp K adventure? We will have a week packed full of fun as we visit some of Utah’s natural waterfalls, party at Boondocks, zip around the water slides at Splash Summit Water Park and enjoy a day at everyone’s favorite Lagoon!!

Make a Splash!
Week 9: July 31st- August 4th

Canoeing is back! We will tour the different natural water attractions of Utah Valley, canoe the majestic Provo River, visit the Aquarium, and spend a day of fun at Rockport Reservoir State Park while hiking and enjoying a picnic.
