You won’t want to miss the annual Send-a-Kid-to-Camp Gala, Friday, April 23, 2010 at the spectacular Towers at Rice Eccles Stadium. So save the date! This event is always full of fun, food, music, great guests, and a treasure of silent and live auction items to bid upon…all to raise funds to help underprivileged kids, teens and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities to attend and experience the magic of Camp K. If you own or manage a business, please donate an item or service of value for our exciting auction or sponsor a VIP table for your firm, family and friends. CAMP K ANNUAL OPEN HOUSE AND CARNIVAL
Saturday, June 5th, 2010 – 12.00-4.00 P.M. At Camp K
Bring the whole family to come and play at Camp K! Experience the thrill of traversing a challenge ropes course, riding horses, and learn more about our adaptive recreation and Summer Camps for kids of all ages with disabilities. Food, music, carnival and lawn games.
WASATCH WHEELCHAIR RALLY
Saturday, July 10th, 2010 – 10.00-4.00 P.M. At Liberty Park, Salt Lake City
Not exactly your typical fundraiser—the Wasatch Wheelchair Rally showcases runners and walkers pushing wheelchairs in a race around Liberty Park. Pushing a wheelchair helps remind us of the challenges faced every day by people confined to a wheelchair by a disability. The Kostopulos Dream Foundation will be joined by The Eagle 101.5 FM, the TRAILS Hand Cycling Team, the Wheelin’ Jazz Wheelchair Basketball Team, players from the Haggis and Scorpions Quad- Rugby Teams, the University of Utah Wheelchair Tennis Team, and many others to present a unique, fun event that raises awareness for the underserved special needs population and for the wonderful recreational and sports programs that improve health, reduce physical limitations, increase self-esteem and independence, and make lives better! Proceeds will go toward continuing and improving the recreational programs offered to individuals with disabilities of all ages (regardless of their ability to pay) at Camp Kostopulos.
