2010 TRAVEL TRIP CAMP DATES
Adult or Teens Trip to Southern Utah and the Grand Canyon (Adults Trip June 7-11 (Slots available: 0); Teens Trip June 21-25 Adults or Teens ) (Slots available:0)- Enjoy the beauty and majesty of Southern Utah and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Activities include day & night led ranger programs, museums, hiking, camping, visiting Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and so much more.
Trip to Salt Lake Valley (Adults Trip June 14-18 (Slots available: 0); Teens Trip August 2-6 Adults and Teens (Slots available: 0)) - Spend the nights at Camp K and the days exploring local recreation and community events throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Trips may include canoeing, golfing, fishing, cultural events, horseback riding, and sightseeing (Aquarium, Hogle Zoo, etc).
Trip to Zion’s National Park & Maynard Dixon Home (Adults & Teen Trip June 28 - July 2 Adults or Teens (Slots available:0)) - This trip camp is designed for those that still meet the 1:4 ratio of staff to campers, but want a less strenuous, more easy going trip camp. We will be staying a few nights at Zion’s National Park walking easy paved footpaths and taking a bus tour. We will then spend the day at Mt. Carmel learning about art and nature at the Maynard Dixon Art Studio.
Trip to Yellowstone National Park (Adults Trip July 5-9 (Slots available: 0); Teens Trip July 19-23 Adults and Teens (Slots available: 0)) - We will be going to Yellowstone National Park to see Old Faithful, the Mammoth Hot Springs, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, go white water rafting, spend some time in West Yellowstone enjoying the Grizzly Bear and Wolf Preserve. This is our most popular trip from last year so sign up early.
Trip to Bryce Canyon & Capital Reef National Parks (Adults & Teens Trip July 12-16 Adults and Teens (Slots available: 0)) - Come see the crazy beauty of Bryce Canyon and Capital Reef National Parks. We will be exploring both parks learning about Hoodoo’s and all the other crazy rock formations. We will be doing a few moderate level hikes that will require a moderate level of physical fitness.
Trip to Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park (Adults & Teens Trip July 26-30 Adults (Slots available: 0)) - This Camp K favorite includes camping near the Grand Tetons, floating the snake river, and visiting an elk refuge. Spend an evening on a sightseeing tour around historic Jackson Hole, including a live western Shootout. We will be doing a few moderate level hikes that will require a moderate level of physical fitness. To end this trip we will be visiting the water park section of Lava Hot Springs (life jackets provided).
Trip to Great Basin National Park (Adults Trip August 2-6 (Slots available: 5)) - This is a brand new Camp K Travel Trip for the summer of 2010. We will be going to the Great Basin National Park. We will be hiking, camping, searching for Native American ruins, and exploring Crystal Ball Cave.
