Residential Summer Camp
Our five-day residential camps begin Monday morning
and ends Friday at noon.
During the week, campers will enjoy activities
that include riding horses, swimming in a heated pool, fishing
in a trout pond, traversing a 25-foot-high ropes course, canoeing
in a nearby lake, creating arts and crafts, and enjoying guest
entertainers.
Campers stay in bunk-style cabins with private
restrooms and have 24-hour supervision by
our well-trained staff members. At week's
end, campers will be recognized during an award ceremony and receive
a group
photo and camp T-shirt.
Friendships are made and rekindled and new
experiences and adventures happen each week. Each camp week
is designed
to accommodate a different age and ability level of camper.
Maximum number of campers per week is 40.
Fist come, first served. Sign up early.
Supervision ratio is one staff member
for every four campers. If your camper needs a higher level
of supervision, prior approval must be given and special arrangements
made. Contact the Camp Program Director with questions.
Travel
Camp
Camp Kostopulos offers summer camp experiences that involve travel
and adventure in locations across the Intermountain West. Small
groups
of campers
and staff memers travel by van to locations such as Jackson Hole,
Wyoming; Moab, Utah and Grand Junction, Colorado.
The group stays outside the whole week, staying in campgrounds
and enjoying the sites, hikes, and wildlife that each area offers.
Camps are staffed by counselors with experience in outdoor living
and working with people with disabilities. All transportation,
meals,
camping, and park fees are included in the trip package. Adventures
and life-long memories are part of every trip.
All trip campers must be self-reliant, and will be pre-screened
by camp administrators. The supervision ratio for travel camp is one staff for every
four campers.
