Not exactly your typical fundraiser—the Wasatch Wheelchair Rally showcases runners and walkers pushing wheelchairs in a race around Liberty Park. Pushing a wheelchair helps remind us of the challenges faced every day by people confined to a wheelchair by a disability. The Kostopulos Dream Foundation will be joined by The Eagle 101.5 FM, the TRAILS Hand Cycling Team, the Wheelin’ Jazz Wheelchair Basketball Team, players from the Haggis and Scorpions Quad- Rugby Teams, the University of Utah Wheelchair Tennis Team, and many others to present a unique, fun event that raises awareness for the underserved special needs population and for the wonderful recreational and sports programs that improve health, reduce physical limitations, increase self-esteem and independence, and make lives better! |
