SWEET – Summer Work, Exploration, Experience, and Training

Camp K’s SWEET Program prepares high school students for the workforce.  This program allows students to apply the skills and knowledge gained during the Vocational Rehabilitation Program.  Students apply for and interview for Summer jobs at Camp K.  They are then hired to work side-by-side with Camp K staff, gain real work experience, and earn a paycheck.  All students receive direct supervision and one-on-one assistance.  They learn about work ethic, clocking in/out, communication, team building, and much more.

To be eligible for the SWEET program, a student must have successfully completed Camp K’s Vocational Rehabilitation Program.

Summer jobs include:

  • Kitchen Support
  • Grounds & Maintenance
  • Equestrian Care
  • Clerical Work
  • Assisting Summer Camp Counselors
