Horseback riding is a popular activity at Camp Kostopulos. During Summer Camp, every camper gets to spend time with our horses, in our beautiful Equestrian Park and Indoor Arena. Our Specialty Programs also offer opportunities to spend time with our horses.
Equestrian activities include learning about horses, grooming, riding, and more. Our indoor arena features an access dock, which allows campers with mobility impairments to easily mount and rid our horses. Our campus also features several trails designed specifically for horseback riding.
Working with our horses is not only fun, but campers gain many important skills. Campers are able to build confidence and trust, improve communication, impulse control, social skills, and boundaries, as well as increasing their physical strength and balance.
We also offer year-round Equestrian Programs, including riding lessons, which are available for everyone.
